Our Signature Blend is a truly outstanding dark roast coffee, appreciated by discerning baristas for its dark chocolatey sweet flavour and long, distinctively delicious finish.
Signature has been developed and meticulously refined over a very long period by our skilled tasters and roasters to achieve the current, precise coffee blend level.
At Melco we feel it is aptly named “Signature” in that it truly reflects our company style of creating a bold, satisfying drink where the inclusion of Robusta coffee allows this particular blend to subtly, yet quite firmly cut through milk based drinks.
The ethically sourced bean varietals from Central America and India used for this delicious coffee blend include Caturra, Bourbon, Pacas and Robusta, with the green beans all being processed using the fully washed preparation method following their harvest during April to November.
Farming of the varietal beans takes place at altitudes varying from 800 to 1350 miles above sea level. The Central American beans used for Signature are allowed to soak in water for up to 36 hours following pulping from their cherries, which accentuates the acidity ands fruity flavours in the resulting coffee.
Our Indian coffee beans used in the Signature blend are shade grown and intercropped in the local traditional farming methods with spice plants such as clove and pepper.
